The mobile library was born in 2007 with the aim of spreading stories, books, and the love of reading among the children of the governorates in Jordan. Over the years, and with continuous support from the Ministry of Culture and the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, the library has become a mobile center that carries with it various cultural and artistic activities and programs, and introduces children to various types of... And new forms of art every year.
The mobile library begins its tour with the second semester of each year, and travels between 11 governorates of Jordan, targeting various schools in each of them, which are selected in coordination with the Ministry of Education and the Directorates of Culture. The library provides all its programs and activities to primary school students in schoolyards, at the hands of a specialized team of center employees.
The activities offered range from artistic workshops, storyteller performances, theatrical performances, sports activities, handicrafts, and other activities, all of which aim to spread culture and arts throughout Jordan, and give children equal opportunities to experience the activities and programs of the Haya Cultural Center, in addition to enhancing knowledge. Children love reading, enriching their imagination, and developing their abilities.
In 2024, the mobile library will expand the number of targeted schools to 33 schools annually instead of 25 schools.
